DAMASCUS, SYRIA (3:20 P.M.) – Up to 200 U.S. military vehicles carrying various military aid crossed northern Syria toward Kurdish-held territories as battles against the Islamic State continue along the Syria-Iraqi borders.
The large convoy – seen crossing near Tal Baidar in Hasakah province – includes armored vehicles, bulldozers, different kinds of weapons and ammunition, and is meant to be delivered to the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The United State is providing military aid as well as airstrikes to help the Kurdish militia fight the Islamic State in eastern Syria.
