Syrian Army troops to move from southern Aleppo to Idlib
BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:05 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) troops in southern Aleppo are preparing to redeploy to the Idlib Governorate after a successful campaign in the Al-Hoss Mountains.
According to a military source in Aleppo, the Syrian Arab Army’s 124th Brigade of the Republican Guard has been given orders to redeploy to the Abu Dhuhour front, where they help their allies retake this imperative airport.
The 124th Brigade played an integral role in the battle for southern Aleppo, as their forces helped secure the Khanasser Highway and seize the integral Khanasser-Arbeen Mountain Highway.
All that is left to capture for the Syrian Army in the Al-Hoss Mountains is a small pocket near the Idlib Governorate border; it has been reportedly abandoned by the jihadist rebels.
